| Jim's History |
| I was born and raised in Massachusetts. After 20 short years of childhood and adolescence I decided to see the world...You guessed it, the US Navy. I spent 12 years in the Navy as a Nuclear plant operator at the following duty stations: | |
| RTC/NTC Great Lakes | ~1 Year up in that cold area of the world for initial training. |
| Orlando, Fl. | ~6 Months of fun in the sun on the receiving end of Nuclear Power force feeding. |
| Windsor, Ct. | ~6 Months of more Nuclear Power force feeding. |
| Groton, Ct. | ~3 Years aboard the USS LAFAYETTE, SSBN 616 (Oldest SSBN at the time) |
| Windsor, Ct. | ~3 Years back at Windsor this time on the giving end of the feeding |
| Groton, Ct. | ~2 Years there building The USS MAINE SSBN 741(Newest SSBN at the time) |
| Kingsbay, Ga. | ~2 Years Operating the Latter doing deterrent patrols. |
|
I didn't get to see much of the world but I did meet some amazing people and got some valuable experience which allowed me to find my way into the field of Commercial Nuclear Power, which is what I do now. |

I have a wonderful wife who shares this web site with me.
From the warmth of Cali and Arizona to the frigid temps of New England. She loves it here though and so do I.
